If you played the alpha or beta, you would know how crappy that would be. I put in 100 matches between alpha and beta with player cap in mind, and never felt like Respawn was wrong in their decision to go 6v6. If they make larger maps, I could see this happening the way Halo does it, but how it is as of now seems the right balance to those that have played it.

I heard many in the beta say they came to see what the hype was about and then go on to say they were surprised by how much they liked it and will buy it at launch. I actually played some matches with a guy that started out making fun of it and by the end of the third or fourth match conceded that he would probably end up buying it.
I know exactly how you feel, three months in and this still surprises me how much I enjoy it. As a ten year old way back in '85, I was dreaming of this kind of "futuristic" technology that I assumed would never arrive in my lifetime. Sometimes it's the little things in life that bring joy.
